We very rarely do the whole re-post thing here at Source BMX but there are few videos doing the rounds on the internet featuring our team riders so we thought it warranted a post… check them out below.

First up is a sweet edit of Jimmy Rushmore and our very on Jon Robinson courtesy of the only union which isn’t on strike at the moment.

Normaldie

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

A crew of us have been in Normandie for a couple of days now filming some clips for the upcoming SourceBMX Normal Vol.1 video. Between getting pulled over by the Police and searched for drugs because of Wildcats drug dealer car we have been riding some street and skateparks in Le Harve. On Day 1 some random guy spotted us riding the skatepark and took us to his trails for an evening session and a bonfire! Cheers Man!!!!!

New Hastings Park Bullsh*t

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

A small group of local BMXers have been riding the new concrete park and causing permanent damage to the concrete which is not yet set. Concrete takes a few weeks to set hard and then lasts for decades so by jumping the fence and riding it now it is ruining things for everyone. So far several sections have had to be relaid which has put the opening back by a couple of weeks and cost thousands of pounds which will come out of the budget for the huge new phase 2 plaza which should be built next summer. Please be patient and stop ruining it for everyone.

To make matters worse, one of the key players in making this skatepark happen (and our own bowl when we built it) has been getting abuse from a small group of riders (who know you you are) which is almost too ridiculous to believe. A lot of people have put hundreds of hours of their own time in to finally getting a new park and they must be shown some respect. We can’t believe this is happening and it’s got to stop or else these people will be named and shamed and will made to look like idiots for wrecking the opportunity for Hastings to have the best skatepark in the UK when phase 2 is completed next year. If it continues, phase 2 will simply not happen.

Sorry for the rant but what’s happening is frustrating for everyone involved and it’s got to be sorted out.

Facebook photo winner

Friday, June 25th, 2010

It’s a few days late but we’ve picked a winner in the competition to win to free weekend tickets to NASS.

We had a few entries which varied from people riding to a cat wrapped up in a Source t-shirt. Obviously it was pretty difficult to choose between such random entries so we picked a winner at random……that being Scott Groves with his photo of David Sekinger. We’ll be in touch about getting tickets out in time for NASS on July 9-11th. We have a stand there so come and say hello if you’re going to be there….and pick up a bargain at the same time.

Fathers Day Session.

Monday, June 21st, 2010

So then it was fathers day yesterday so what better way to celebrate the made-up bullshit day than going to the trails with five times Dad Ricky Bollington! The Ratt has been killing this place for years now and they and himself are still going strong - check out the snap below. When the Ratt isn’t building the trails he is building your wheels here at SourceBMX.

In other related Dad news, Marc Goodwin set up a brand new Fit Benny L this weekend, Just in time for the Source trip to France this coming weekend -  Looks Dialed.
